Popularly known as The Redemptorist Church, Divino Amor Chapel Redemptorist is considered as one of the most imperative sacred places for devotion in Lipa and Batangas. It  is run by Redemptorist Missionaries or the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer founded by St. Alphonsus de Liguori in Scala, Southern Italy on November 9, 1732. The Congregation came to the Philippines in 1906 and founded churches to establish the faith and devotion of Filipinos.The Chapel is the product of its humble purpose.

The habit of doing the novena was carried to Lipa by the Redemptorist Rector of Lipa, Fr. Gerar O’ Donnel, the one who administered the construction of the first redemptorist parish in Malate, Manila- later relocated at Baclaran as the National Shrine in 1932.

Every Wednesday, people from all walks of life gather at Divino Amor Chapel Redemptorist to attend the novena mass to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
The redemptorist in Lipa became popular because of the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help which was later found in a tree trunk cut by a church worker in 2009. The image since then attracted many devotees.

How to get to Redemptorist Church in Lipa City

There are two ways to get to the chapel:

 1.) From the city proper, you can ride a tricycle to go straight there or just walk;

Good Day

My name is Petra de Kleijn And i have lived a few years in the island of Sumba Indonesia and worked with the redemptorist priest over there. We have set up schools in Sumba and are still running these.

Recently when I was in contact with Pater Robert Ramone from Sumba he told me that Fr. Ephraim is the parish priest of Lipa.

As Iam now in the Philippines for the next 1,5 year I would love to meet him again.

Yesterday when I tried to find a contact number I read the following:

Fr. Ephraim Cabrera got new appointment as Parish Priest of the Parish of St. Paul the Apostle, Isla Verde, Batangas City

Is Fr. Ephraim already in Isla Verde or still in Lipa.

Can you give me his contact number and/or email so I can contact him.

If he is still in Lipa we (me, my husband and our son) would like to visit him this weekend ( February 8)

My contact number 0905 229 9011

Thanks

Petra de Kleijn
