It has been a long tough run for D' Intensity Breakers, a group of young high-spirited dancers from Lipa City, before they got to where they are right now- the Pilipinas Got Talent Semi Finals.
D' intensity Breakers was formed and bound by love for dancing. And for them, it is a way of not just expressing themselves but a way as well to earn a little for their families. One of them, Christopher Rafol called by his co-members as “Daga” works as barker when not in practice;
D' intensity Breakers was formed and bound by love for dancing. And for them, it is a way of not just expressing themselves but a way as well to earn a little for their families. One of them, Christopher Rafol called by his co-members as “Daga” works as barker when not in practice;
Jeffrey Matanguihan or “Jepoy” is married and works as balot vendor while the others, and most of them, are students. They did find dancing as a hobby and a job. That is why back home in Lipa, the group has been every dance contest's face. Be it barangay dance contest or big competition in malls. But game has it, sometimes it's, you lose or you win. After every triumph and defeats, they would still gather at Lipa City Community Park in the afternoons to practice for the next battle. This spirit and faith in the group sent them to audition in Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1held in Batangas in 2009. Unfortunately, they did not make it on the screening. But after almost four years, with nearly empty pockets, the group came back to the show with a stunning performance that wowed judges Kris Aquino, Ai Ai Delas Alas and FMG. So just after some couple of weeks, the group came back again for the Quarter Finals and still, without fail, amazed the judges and the crowd with their hoola hoop stunts and dancing routines. Yes, they do. | They performed astounding and breath taking stunts using hoola hoops which became their trade mark in the show. As Kris Aquino remarked on their first audition, they felt like they have seen a lot like that (the break dancing), but the group's was entirely different for they incorporated stunts to their routines. The group continues to struggle for a common goal – to win. And this coming May 25, Saturday, they would be again, trying to take a spot in the Semi Finals to qualify for PGT Season 4 Grand Finals. Sure, Lipenos have another fellows to be proud of. |
