As part of the celebration of the 10th World Blood Donor Day with the theme “Every Blood Donation is a Gift of Life”, Philippine Red Cross – Batangas Chapter in partnership with TV Patrol Southern Tagalog will be having an In-house Blood Donation this coming June 22, 2013, Saturday 8am to 5pm at its Chapter Training Center.
The heightened activities, while marking the 'World Blood Donor Day' which is observed every year will raise awareness for the need of safe blood and blood products and to thank the voluntary unpaid blood donors for their life - saving gifts of blood. This will also focus on the value of donated blood not only in saving life, but also in helping people live longer and have a healthy life.

| For interested people who will be willing to donate blood, one must be in good health, must be in ages between 16 to 65 years old (16 and 17 years old need parents consent), must have a weight of at least 110 pounds, must have a blood pressure between: Systolic: 90-160 mmHg, Diastolic: 60-100 mmHg and must pass the physical and health history assessments that will be made by the doctor. -Ellaine Dimayuga | |
